Tenants of FaithFor My Child believes the following: The Scriptures
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
God is one, but manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Holy Spirit) (Luke 3:21, 22).
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus is the brightness of God’s Glory, and the express image of His person (John 1:1, 14; 3:16 Hebrews 1:3).
Is the third person of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth which will guide us into all truth. The Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is the promise of God sent to comfort, help, guide, teach and anoint all who believe in the Name of the Lord, Jesus Christ (John 14:14, 26, 16:8-11, 13; Acts 1:4;5).
Is a created being, made in the image of God. God did not create man divided into black, white, brown, red, yellow or any other divisive attributes. God has made from one blood every nation of men (Acts 17:26). Man was made to have fellowships and union with God, but through sin this fellowship was broken. “For all has sinned and come short of the Glory of God.”(Romans 3:23).
Is the gift of God obtained only through grace and by faith in Jesus Christ. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).
Is a direct commandment of our Lord for those who believe in Him as their Lord and Savior. It is a declaration of a Believer to the world that he is identifying himself with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12).
Is the promised gift that was given to all Believers from the Lord , Jesus Christ. This experience is accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Matthew 3:11; John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 38, 29, 19:1-7).
It is provided for us through Christ in the atonement. It is administered and received by faith, prayer, anointing of the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost), and the laying on of hands (Mark 16:18; James 5:14, 15; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; Isaiah 53:4, 5).
His second coming is imminent. When He comes, the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17).
The one who dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly lost in the Lake of Fire, therefore, has no future opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20).
